The Virginia Fire Chiefs’ Association (VFCA) is very excited to deliver the next residential Virginia Chief Officer Academy (VCOA) in June 2025. This 6-Day residential program is designed to develop the leadership skills of aspiring and new chief officers across the Commonwealth of Virginia.  All meals and lodging will be provided.   Ensure you are submitting your application to the correct academy. Applications submitted to the incorrect academy will not be considered.  Additionally, please check all of your calendars (personal, department, etc.) prior to applying to prevent any conflicts.   

Selected students will arrive in Richmond on Sunday and course work will start Sunday afternoon and run through Friday afternoon.

THIS IS A RESIDENTIAL ACADEMY AND STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE 100% ATTENDANCE.
