The Virginia Fire Chiefs’ Association (VFCA) is very excited to deliver the next Modular Virginia Fire Officer Academy (VFOA) and Virginia Chief Officer Academy (VCOA) in January 2025. This 4-Day residential program delivered over two weekends is designed to develop the leadership skills of aspiring new chiefs and company officers across the Commonwealth of Virginia.  

All personnel are encouraged to apply; however, volunteer fire service personnel will have priority selection.  All meals and lodging will be provided.   Ensure you are submitting your application to the correct academy. Applications submitted to the incorrect academy will not be considered.  Additionally, please check all of your calendars (personal, department, etc.) prior to applying to prevent any conflicts.

Applications are now OPEN through 11/1/2024 through 11/30/2024 for the Virginia Fire Officer Academy and Virginia Chief Officer Academy Modular program scheduled for January 10 – 12 2025, and January 24 – 26, 2025 in Abingdon Virginia. Cost of tuition is $495.00
